As a frequent traveler, and someone who works while traveling, it’s important for me to find great cafes wherever I go.

I need to be able to hook up to decent Wi-Fi, plug into a power source, and have somewhere comfortable to sit. Most of all, great food options to keep me going (and coming back for more!) are very important.

Café 8.98 in Krabi ticks all the boxes for me. Here are the three things I love about it most.

.01 Fantastic food options

As a health and fitness content creator and online coach, I take care to make nourishing food choices, even when I’m on the road. For me, a café that I’m going to frequent regularly needs to have a good range of tasty and healthy food on offer. I was excited to find that café 8.98 caters well for my requirements as a vegetarian. Not only that but every meal and drink I had there was absolutely delicious.
They strike this awesome balance between nourishing plant based options and “real” homemade style comfort food. This means that I can grab a salad and a green juice or superfood smoothie if I want to. On other days when I want something with a bit more substance I can opt for the most delicious ravioli ever, or even a yummy vegetarian burger.

.02 They’re making efforts to help the environment

I’ve realized that a lack of awareness about caring for the environment can be a big issue in parts of South East Asia. I was excited to see that Café 8.98 has some good initiatives in place to help support a sustainable future.
First of all, they’re on board with the trash hero initiative. This means that you can purchase the stainless steel trash hero drink bottles there, and you can refill your own drink bottle for free! Small steps like this can go a long way towards reducing plastic consumption and helping the environment. Additionally, they use biodegradable straws and rubbish bags. They are currently looking at purchasing eco-friendly cutlery for a more sustainable approach to takeaways.

.03 Super friendly staff and great service

Last but certainly not least, the staff makes such a difference to my desire to visit café 8.98. They’re friendly and helpful and their attention to detail is great. The food always arrives quickly and to an awesome standard. I was originally going to another café down the road but I found that staff members weren’t always friendly. That’s why I took my patronage down to 8.98 and got the added bonus of healthy food options from a business that cares about both people and sustainability.
